Hospital Policies

Appointments

To ensure that all patients receive ample time, we primarily operate by appointment. Since emergency cases receive top priority, there will be some appointment delay on rare occasions. Of course, we always try to see all clients on time.

Hospital admission appointments are available for your convenience, which allows you to drop off your pet at our Mebane pet practice at a time convenient for you. You can pick your pet up later in the day—we ask you to drop them off in the morning so we can examine them between appointments, and will then call you to go over the diagnosis.

For the safety of all other animals, please make sure your pet is up-to-date on their vaccinations. While we work to keep all patients comfortable at our practice, we ask that you keep your pets on a leash or in a pet carrier, as they may be uneasy or over-excited in a new environment with other pets and people.

Payment

Payments are required in full at the time services are rendered. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash, and personal checks. You may also apply for ScratchPay online at Scratchpay.com

Online PharmaciesIf requested we will provide one written prescription per medication that the owner can use to purchase from online pharmacies. We are unable to accept fax or phone requests. We can email prescriptions to select pharmacies who will accept them. Prescriptions can also be purchased at our online pharmacy at https://mebanepet.vetsfirstchoice.com/

Privacy

We understand the importance of protecting our clients’ personal privacy, which is why we also protect your privacy in our hospital. No information, whether it’s about you or your pet, will ever be shared without your explicit consent.

Mebane Pet Clinic is a Cat Friendly Practice, What does that mean?

There are various challenges involved in bringing your cat to a veterinary practice. They do not travel well and often feel unsafe when they’re away from their usual territory. They’re often highly stressed out by being in close proximity to other dogs and cats, and are prone to anxiety, which can be triggered by strange sights, sounds, and smells.
As they often prefer peace and quiet, it’s important to ensure their well-being by bringing them to an approved Cat Friendly Practice in Mebane, NC.

The AAFP established this program to help veterinary practices meet the needs of cats in a veterinary setting, and we are pleased to be the leading Cat Friendly Practice in Mebane. By choosing Mebane Pet Clinic for your pet, you’ll make the choice for a clinic that:

  • Understands the unique needs of cats and have made veterinary visits more cat-friendly
  • Understands how to approach and handle cats in a gentle, empathetic, and caring manner
  • Has an appropriate standard of equipment needed to investigate and treat feline patients
  • Meets a standard for the facilities and care for hospitalized cats.
